Determined to make him pay, Melanie returns to the agency where she find that Finn has fabricated the events to his advantage with the help of his father Senator Hugh Parker. The Parkers continue to plot against her.
Adam, in an effort to protect Melanie, returns to the organization that nurtured his rise as an assassin extraordinaire. He struggles with the allure of his past life, as he easily slips into the leadership role left vacant after the death of his friend and mentor (Adam killed Hector to save Melanie in “Living Lies”).
Adam’s long absence and sporadic appearances drives Melanie deeper into her “work”. She maintains her heavy case load as a top operative, helps her friend’s husband in his troubled re-election for congress and manages to keep updated surveillance on Finn. All this is momentarily interrupted, when Danny Ashe, Melanie’s first love, unexpectedly come back in her life and begins vying for her affections.
In the end, everything in Melanie’s life escalates and death is eminent. |
